I haven't been here for a few days I see. It's been a bit busy here getting ready for Passover. Also getting some things done in the yard and garden.

I did my ink test page of the next ink sample from my collection. I chose one randomly because I can't face making any more decisions right now... even small ones! Ha!

Last time I tested inks in a journal, I didn't think to do a chromatography strip. I'm enjoying this aspect of exploring the properties of the inks.

I have another project that has almost fried my brain to tell you the truth. I have been doing a deep cleanup of my files on my computer and making backups on flash drives in anticipation of a new iMac which is on its way right now.

I know it's not the same as moving house, but looking through files and deciding what to keep and what to let go of is emotionally draining. I ended up opening up files on some really old flash drives and realized that I need a better system for saving things. I'm thinking about getting an external hard drive to do that, and work through things when I'm not trying to set up a new computer. I have had iMacs before, so that's not an issue. But you know... it's nerve wracking no matter what.

I think I am ready to embark once the box arrives, which they tell me will be tomorrow. I have 9 days before my Windows Office subscription is up, which is one of the reasons I decided I had just about had enough of Windows for now. Plus the fact that really, without my express permission, it had been saving things to OneDrive when I really did not want that. I finally found out how to turn that off for the time being. Now every time I create a document, there's a banner wanting me to save it there. NO THANK YOU! Oy.

Anyway. I'm a little frazzled. But also excited to take back a little more control of my digital realm. I need to practice better 'digital hygiene' as they say. We shall see if I succeed.
