Rain?
Wed Jul 19 2006

I'm sitting at the kitchen table.....
Well, not literally....

Okay, I WAS sitting at the kitchen table a little bit ago, scarfing a bowl of Honey Nut Cherrios that I had poured from a box that I swear is almost as big as me.

Not a Costco box either. A regular extra large one from the regular grocery store. A veritable VAT of Cherrios. I'm not sure why this is significant in any way, but I just thought I would mention it.

This morning, there are black clouds hovering around our entire area.
I'm rooting for a thunderstorm. I was very surprised to see any kind of clouds this morning. I looked on the satellite weather page and there is this round ball of clouds planted right over our entire neck of the woods. It looks like the eyeball of California. Weird.

Hub Man says it rained on him a little bit on his way to work.

Oh for a few drops here!

I know the feeling. We are experiencing a heat wave in the UK and it is just unbearable; we are not used to these kind of temperatures. But, there is rain and sunshine forecasted for tomorrow and I hope it will bring some fantastic thunder and lighning with it. That would be lovely. I'll hope the same for you, too!

Re your "reality check." I think summer in Vancouver would suit me just fine. Our last winter here convinced me that year-round drizzle is not for me. But summer in Sacramento? Nah.

RYC: Yes, ma'am. Lobster pizza. It's absolutely awesome and I'd be happy to give you the recipe if that fits in with your dietary restrictions (;)

My youngest practically lives on Honey Nut Cheerios so we usually do buy the Costco mega box. If the grocery store big box is a veritable Vat then what would that make the Costco box? I am not sure why I ask, but it did seem the thing to do. :)

About the weather.....perhaps if we all join forces and dance the rain dance at the same time we will all get a little relief. It could work....really, it could.

RYC: I'm sorry that you cannot partake of the roaches of the sea because they are very, very tasty. There is nothing quite like lobster *sigh*

I buy the Vat-O-Cheerios myself, and it usually lasts about 2 or 3 days between the three boys and myself. Personally though, I'm starting to really like the Berry Burst Cheerios, but unfortunately they don't come in the BIG boxes yet.

Hope you get the rain you're after. Looks like we're about to have a good shower of it here. I'll try to convince the wind to blow your way. ;-)

RYC: "I can't think of one reason why the world needs to get that hot..... ever.... Can you?"

Well.....let's see; heat destroys germs..... and everyone knows that germs are bad for you and that is why we run a fever when we are sick; to kill off the bad germs.

Now if you look at it on a broader scale, society is more than a little sick right now........so it could be that the world is running a fever in an attempt to kill off all the vermin that are running rampant right now........and just look at how cranky it is making them. Maybe its working.

    Just a thought. :)
