While roaming about in my backyard this morning I happened upon a few things I thought I might post here. They are totally unrelated actually, except for the fact that they were all found within 25 feet of each other.
The first comes with a question.
Would you allow this object to be displayed in your living room?

Please note, if you can that the deer's ear has come undone from its plastic form. This picture does not have enough clarity to show the cobwebs and other questionable objects caught up in the fur. And I don't know about you, but there is no way I am going to windex those eyeballs okay? Let's just get that out in the open right now.
The second thing is much more benign. A relative had a yard sale, and we inherited 5 of these little solar lanterns. Two had poles to hang them on. And so far only two seem to be operational. They emit a ghostly green glow at night. Rather nice actually. I hope the other three revive after another day in the sun. I kinda like them. This one got planted next to the Bunny Tail grass and the still growing sweet peas and gladiolus. I should find a frog like Calantha's to put under the lantern. That would look very cool at midnight don't you think?

And the third is an amazing sight considering the fact that it has been such a chilly Spring. Yet undaunted, the first one showed up a day or two ago....

Finally, the Little Red Hen says:

"Incongruity is a part of all existence. Just when you have figured out a few of life's mysteries, your memory begins to fail... What's up with that?"
