I have decided that the possible cure for a fairly severe bout of pre-winter doldrums is creating some serious comfort food.

Ergo, I will go forth and prepare some.

It's all I am willing to commit to today.

Good thing the really big and important things in the world are in the hands of more competent people eh?

Me, I'll just be in charge of a good chicken pot pie.

    For me it is a roast chicken (OK, a crock-potted chicken) and cookies. However, I bought the cookies at costco, but they are still under the comfort food label!

    On the other hand if more people devoted themselves to the preparation of comfort food perhaps more people would be less cranky which would make for a far happier planet free of all those big and important things. :)

    I'm in the mood for cooking also . . . and yes, it does chase away the winter blahs!

    Oh my, a view of the freeway . . . what could possibly be worse? I love my view - it's the first thing I saw when I walked into the apartment and I was sold on the spot . . . I didn't even have to see the rest of the place.

    Mmmmmmm I can smell those pot pies baking! Yummmmmmm. *smile*

    I don't know if the important matters are in the hands of more competent people - but they're in the hands of other people none the less :o)

    Hope you enjoy your chicken pot pie - this comes at a time in the Southern Hemisphere when the weather is really starting to warm up...to the point where even thinking about food is tiring ;o)
