Yup.
Broken.
Salamander was right.
Make a note of it.
Though it is broken in a very civilized place, right in the middle of the big bone on the outside of my ankle. So no surgery needed. No drama, I don’t like drama.
(Oh really? Who’s putting a picture of their cast on the tubes?)
I’m just keepin’ it real.
I got to see a really cool x-ray of it too. My goodness what a lot of bones there are in the foot eh? And it wasn’t hard to see the break either, none of that... “See that little shadow right there?” Nope, big old crack, plain as day.

Oh, Salamander, the pretties arrived today safe and sound. And the little snaky thing? Melted my heart. I have just the project in mind for it, though it may take some time to get it finished. I have a backlog of knitting at the moment.
Oh! and plenty of time to get to it!

So never a dull moment eh?
(I like dull. Dull is good. Bring on the dull.)
You ARE dull.
((Personally, between you and me, I think she is a little giddy at the moment. Wait till it starts to really sink in that she won’t be able to drive... for three weeks..))
What did you say?
(Oh nothing, nothing at all. Purple. Nice color. Looks good on you.)

I'm sorry your foot is broken but I'm not surprised. I broke an ankle and a long bone in the other foot withing 6 months of each other. It sucked.
High tops are The Bomb. I discovered them in my youth. I had bad knees and the ankle support corrected that nicely. All of my Spring/Fall/Winter boots are ankle high. Doc Marten's are my boot of choice but I've got a 20 year old pair of K-Swiss that I'm not givin' up for nobody ;)
Love the purple.
Heal well. That's an order. Don't make me hop my broom out there and make sure of it.....
Heal fast!!

But the bright side is that fetching purple cast! And just look how it compliments your screen picture. I hope MAC appreciates your efforts to keep things well coordinated. ;)
P.S. Love the purple cast!
Glad you like the snake/worm/thing. I make those to use up the last bits of glass or when I need to amuse myself. He does have a slightly flatted bottom, so he could also sit on a window sill. He's been annealed, but because of his structure I can't guarantee he'll be as strong as the other beads.
Seems like if something nasty is going to go down in the thunderstorm or tornado department, that area is the preferred spot. Wonder why??"
I guess I do live in CA's version of Tornado Alley, but I never thought about it that way before.
The weather around here has definitely changed since I was a kid. Tornadoes were all but unheard of and I was always told there were none here. My great-grandmother was born 30 miles from this spot. (We used to get a lot more hard freezes in winter, too.) She remembered exactly one tornado that did any damage in her lifetime, and it tore the roof off a barn-- no big deal, really. Yesterday's four or five tornadoes (it's in dispute if one became two, or maybe "jumped" a few miles) took out a few outbuildings, a garage and a big chunk of almond orchard. The closest one was around 15 miles away, as the crow flies.
We had a small one out in the yard once. It really did sound like a freight train. It ripped the insulation out of the neighbor's wall while the siding was off during some restoration work. The contractor came to work the next morning, looked at his project and then down into my yard where the big, pink fiberglass puffs had fallen. I went out and told him what had happened so he didn't think there were vandals or that I had stolen the insulation, for some strange reason.
