This morning the fog is thick.
Drippy.
Chill.
I decided to take Ben out for a solo run. He seems to need it the most right now. I think he needed a little break from Mr. Panda Pants, so off we went into the mist...
He was very happy to be out and about. Of course this was five minutes after he had made a real nuisance of himself barking at some dogs minding their own business in their own back yard. [This involved a man coming out of his house with a rake in hand. We will speak no more of it.]
I found a tree standing all alone on the way back. I THINK it might be a plum, but I'm not at all sure. Though now it is on my mental list of 'things to check on later'.
I like free fruit.
There was a little sparrow hanging out on the tree. He seemed quite reluctant to leave it. Perhaps he has chosen it already for his nest. Not a bad spot. I might claim it early myself, were I a little sparrow.
Here's my favorite shot of the morning...
I don't care to analyze it. I am just accepting that there is something here that speaks to me. I'm very grateful for semi-wild spaces near my home.
It's cheaper than therapy.
And if my hunch is right, I might even get wild plums.
(Moocher.)
I prefer 'Wild Edible Gatherer', thank you very much.
(What you prefer, and what you are going to GET are two different things Cupcake.)
Don't I know it.
