Techno Tea of Singularity
Mon May 31 2004

Wow, I have spent such a laid back day, I can hardly recall much of anything to tell you about it. I did nothing of consequence and I am happy about it!

In the continuing Teatime saga. There is a new tea on my list of favorites.
My friend C. came over after work on Friday and brought me a box of Chamomile tea, (her favorite). What a lovely surprise! It was so delicate and mild and tasted faintly of apple peel to me. I can say I enjoyed it completely. Happily enough, in my box of assorted Numi teabags, there was a Chamomile blend with some lemon myrtle in it. It was delightful. So far, Numi is getting straight A's from me. So "Golden Chai" and Chamomile are on the "Drink Me" list.

As I write this, my printer is churning out hard copies of this month's entries. I keep them in a three ring binder for posterity. In case posterity arrives without computer access.

I should tell you, I have a streak of "catastrophism" in my world view. I don't trust technology, nor do I think that it possesses the answers to all things.
But boy, there are some people who do....Singularity

They scare me.

I have so many things open on my computer right now, it is chunking on me.
Windows Media Player has Donovan crooning Catch the Wind, the printer is spewing out page after page, and I am typing this in the ADD ENTRY window in DD. A practice I know is fraught with danger....

So I am out of here before something weird happens.

Ah, technology..... now Weird Al is doing "Amish Paradise"...
how appropriate. :-)

my, my, my, you DO have eclectic taste in music! Then again, Weird Al is always good for a laugh.

The dishes are ready and waiting for you to get here. I told them they must stay put until you arrive, no running about the house and scattering themselves as they are wont to do when my back is turned.

All these high tech goodies are great and a whole lotta fun, but will we know how to do anything if the power goes out? Low tech has its place. :)
