Quiet Sunday
Sun Jan 16 2005

The gloomy clouds that have been with us for several days, suddenly broke to clear blue skies.

I however, am still in the gloomy cloud mood. I am working through the leftovers of this psychological disconnect by consuming a rather large brownie. [It was an emergency you understand].

Actually started work on a couple of gourds. They are in the drying process at the moment, and I can't go on to the next steps yet. I will be sure and take a few pictures when they are finished.

I have decided that I am taking my essay "Catcher In The Rye, Reloaded" to the writer's group this week. I did a little rewriting on it, just a few minor things. I am hoping that someone will GET it! We shall see.

I also started on the next felted wool purse. I am about 1/3 of the way finished with it. The color [fuchsia], is very pleasant to work with. I have high hopes for the finished project. We shall see if I can pull it off. The pressure is on since that yarn put such a dent in my allowance account!

The outdoors is calling. I really should get out there while it is so nice. Who knows what it will be like tomorrow??? I wish Robbie was here to go for a walk with me. He NEVER turned down the opportunity to go walkies. We could go down to the creek. He liked to bark at the water. . .

RYC: You didn't say which theory it was, but overall, unless the horse can't be barefoot for a particular reason, barefoot is better if they're not on extremely abrasive or "pointy" surfaces. It's going from shoes to barefoot that is dicey. Horses that have never worn shoes are often advised by farriers to never start.

"...he liked to bark at the water." Now isn't that the doggiest thing?? Did he ever go into it?

I had a fairly profitable day today, and opened a window so the sun could shine in. Nice fresh air.

    Shalom

Well it was sunny here also and now have 2/3 of deck cleaned off. Watched some football and helped
neighbor set up a make shift shelter for the four Horses. Not fun with dumb kritters nipping one and one got step ladder wrapped around his stupied head and things got weird for a few minutes.
I due not have any Spar or outside spar wood finish for Robbie. We are ready to see some green as still have over a foot of heavy frozen snow.
