
It has been so cold at night! Every morning things are covered in frost. My new hobby is feeding the fire in Bruce and wondering how much kerosene is in the tank so Eva can keep doing her part. I hope the fuel truck will come soon. I don't feel like going out there with the long stick to poke it in the tank to check the level.
I wanted to share this picture that was taken by the editor of our local self-published paper. Jay has a drone that he uses to take pictures all over the valley. He posted this one just the other day.

My town is at the base of the tallest mountain there in the middle. What's funny is that I cannot know with certainty where he took this photo from. I have never seen things from this bird's eye perspective before and it is disorienting.
I am so grateful to live here. This place feeds my soul.

Oh my. i just had a chance to check this email. What a beautiful environment. I have mountains around me in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia but it's a city. You are blessed to truly live IN the mountains.
