Crimson Clover Cover Crop
Wed Nov 03 2010

My cover crop of crimson clover in the raised bed is doing great. Though I am wondering what happens if it gets really frosty out there. Will it be resistant? I don't know. All I know is I hope its little roots are fixing nitrogen as they are supposed to do and enriching my soil.

A fringe benefit of this process is a pleasant sight for the weary end of the season gardener...

A closer look at the almost frosty dew.

My mother is famous for being able to find four leaf clovers in a patch like this. Too bad she is not handy by to pick me out some specimens to put in a little vase.

Looks like we could spare to pick a few and not miss them in the grand scheme of things in the clover patch...
