A storm blew through last night... lots of rain and some wind.
Today, the sun has come out and we have a temporary creek to enjoy.
I really wish this was a real creek that flowed all the time. I would have constant wet feet fooling around in it.
Like Sunny....
My shoes are drying out right now in the back room... heh heh.
While I was admiring the temporary pond, I decided to balance a couple of rocks. In honor of the day so to speak.
Ahem...
We won't talk about the one that I lost my grip on, that promptly bounced down the slope and into the water.
Sometime this winter, S. has promised to go with me on one or two rock gathering missions. I am going to make myself a rock studio out there by the corner of the chicken run. I want to find many sizes and shapes to work with during the times that the creek is full of winter run off and none too friendly for rock balancing. It's raging up there now. Not only is it noisy, but all the good rocks are underwater. Never mind that in winter that whole area where I work is in deep shade and stays very cold.

I'm anxiously awaiting my seed order. This year I spent a shocking amount on seeds as my stockpile had grown quite low. I needed to order one of just about everything. I'm sure the seed company will be happy.
It's time to make some more carrot seed tapes. Though I should probably call them carrot TP tapes. :-)
I only have one short row of carrots left in the garden. I dug up several day before yesterday to grate into salads. I'll be sad when they are all gone.
The sun just went down here, so it's time to stoke the fire. I think I'll feed Bruce a nice chunk of oak after a while. He's pretty good at the slow burn thing... :-)
