Today I got to go on a small hike with S. The weather was so fine. We even saw a honeybee out foraging in her garden before we left. It was buzzing around on a low growing weed that has tiny blue flowers on it. Anyway, we went to a new to me place up a different creek. There is a theme though with the creeks right now. Anything that is still in shade looks like this...   It's cold in the deep draw… and the mosses are happy there.   We wandered all around looking for a rock she had accidentally left there that she wanted to bring home with her. She actually found it! By the time we were ready to leave, the light had changed and the creek suddenly took on a magical look...   There are really big trees in the area...   It's a place I intend to return to, now that I know about it. On the walk out, we sat down in the sun for a while. I needed some vitamin D.   We sat here and I ate one of those tiny oranges that I swiped from her kitchen on the way out of the house. So there was vitamin C too. It was a good day.
