My customers at the farmer's market are a constant source of ideas and insights.
Turns out that what kind of purse a woman chooses to carry is as individual as her fingerprint.
I'm very happy that they take the time to describe in detail what they like and don't like about purses.
This last market, I met a particularly eloquent shopper who showed me her little wrist purse that she had been carrying for many years.
It was made of fine thin leather. She bought one of my smallest purses, because regrettably, she now needed to carry reading glasses with her, and they
wouldn't fit in her little bag.
She gave it to me to measure.
I came home.
I pondered.
I mean, with knitted then felted yarn, you can only go so small. There are limitations.
I used some light worsted weight yarn, and some alpaca lace weight, and came up with this little marvel…. for the minimalists in our midst...
I love it with all my stash.
I don't know if she will want to buy it. But I'm glad I figured out how to make one.
I'm learning so much from interacting with the people who stop at my little table of fuzzy things.
It's a challenge to try and come up with something that is JUST what they might like. It's like a little secret society.
Bogwillowian in nature.
