Surprise!
So check it out. Not long ago I was in the grocery store. On my list was pancake mix. Well, lo and behold there was Krusteaz mix on sale two for the price of one. We call that a two-fer around our house. (Just so my friends down under know that we DO have nicknames for some things in our neck of the globe! ) Not as many as YOU guys but hey, somebody has to be top dog in some category and in nicknames, you are IT!
Well, unbenknownst to me, buying this mix and using my grocery club card at the same time, entered me into a sweepstakes. Yesterday I got a gift card from that store worth 50 dollars! Can you believe it? Wow. I was speechless.
So I am headed over there to buy some real exciting things... Here's my list.
Milk
Bread
Eggs
Lettuce
I know, get an imagination you say.... Buy 50 dollars worth of Jr. Mints!
Nope. My goal is to make that 50 dollars scream for mercy with the frugality of my purchases. I wonder if there is a sale on lettuce today???
In closing I just have one question....

Boy you are special to win such a gift and in a grocery store!!! Yes we are on our way to vote soon as Ms Daisy is ready. Snow covered ground about 21/2 " and the trees are starting to unload. FOGGY Valley but the sun is up there somewhere.Got the check and it is a win /Win for us.

I would head for the meat. $50 worth of meat or canned goods so it would last a while! Of course, in my house meat is the thing that makes the biggest dent in our grocery budget, so anything to help that line item to be reduced is a good thing!
