The season has changed.

Fall is most decidedly here to stay.

I could not be more delighted.

The cooler weather not only had us kicking on the heater for the first time last night, but it has flipped my house cleaning switch too.

I have moved furniture in the living room [again] and cleaned it to a fare thee well. That spilled over into the kitchen, and yesterday Hub Man helped me re-arrange the furniture in our bedroom and I washed curtains and cleaned the wooden blinds. The dog beds got washed an placed in their new spot.

It feels great to have swept the corners and rooted out the dust bunnies and dog hair wads from all their hiding places.

I am now on the lookout for a new quilt/bedspread. Well, I HAVE been on the lookout all summer and have come up empty handed. Our old one is faded and starting to fall to bits.

Target has been re-building a store that they tore down early this spring, and will be opening on October 22nd. Perhaps I can find something there...

Now to a true confession.

(Oh how I hate those...)

I realize I have been a rather sporadic blogger of late. I looked at the calendar of posts and saw a ... trend.  I am confessing that the state of the world has me in a tizzy most of the time, and I feel awkward blogging here about everything safe and ordinary, (try inane)... that too... in order to avoid going off on the things that are worrying the snot out of me.

Perhaps I should pick a day of the week to rant and get out my 'THE END IS NEAR' sign and my soapbox and go to town about the latest outrage. Then I would at least feel I was being honest.

While I try to focus on postitive things most of the time, one cannot stick their head in a hole and hope things will get better on their own. Sometimes we have to speak up...

I have been reluctant to do so, because I know I ruffle feathers, not only The Hen's, but some of my valued reader's too. So here's my proposal:

I'll pick a day and call it.... pause for thought.... eh, can't think of what I'll call it right now, but I'll come up with something. And if you would rather not read anything political or religious in nature, you can see the heading and take a pass.

How's that?

(Works for me. I like the idea of having a warning before you go 'conspiracy theory' on me.)

Okay then, it's a plan.

Finally, a word or two from The Hen.

Dirt has been annihilated.

All's right with the world.

(Wow, someone write this on the calendar. 'Houston, we have a happy Hen!')

Rant all you want. Ruffle my feathers. It's your blog. And if I think you're some kind of a [religious] [political] nut, then that's my opinion, and I'll likely keep it to myself.

But if I get hot enough under the collar about some kind of issue, I'll relate it under my own blog.

BTW: I've been to your place, and I think you clean the clean. You must be related to my aunts.

    Bless

One of the things that I like about DD is that, on the whole, people tend to respect others points of view even if it comes to a matter of agreeing to disagree. There are a couple of blogs here that aren't that way and I tend to avoid them like the plague. I always find it refreshing to learn others views on things. It tends to make a brain THINK. Plus, I think peoples views are always evolving when given that kind of stimulation.

That's just my opinion on the subject ;)

Now, since your home is scrubbed to within an inch of it's life, feel free to come do something about this heap I live in. Chaya is going to be here a week from tomorrow and I'm seriously considering just burning the place down and pitching a tent in the back yard so she won't know what a slob I really am!

Good to see you back. It's your bolg, talk about what you want to talk about. The rest of us can read and agree or disagree but that doesn;t make us enjoy your you or your writing any less. But sometimes a warning is nice. :-)))

My big ol', bleeding, liberal heart is a little a-feared, but I can take it. Sometimes I'll probably read, close the window and go on a cussing binge. Still, it's always good to hear differing opinions-- it's how we grow within ourselves and understand others better.

It's your blog - write away Crazy Hen Lady. I don't promise to always agree, but I promise to add nothing but observations without criticism (obvious or implied).
