Whoopie Kai Yai Yo

You know you live in the country when you look out your window first thing in the morning and see this:

This is not my steer.

As far as I can tell, it has no ear tag, so who knows where it belongs? I put the photo on Facebook today hoping someone comes forward. This is a valuable animal.

There are cattle that wander down out of the mountains where they graze all summer, but those cows know their way home. I don't know if this one was one of the herd or not. It's too old to have been born in the mountains this year.

We are all puzzled. He has been wandering all over the neighborhood for many days and is pretty skittish.

For now, he is trimming the grass around the place. He likes the ice pond pretty well. Mr. P is reluctant to pen him up in the field as he seems to challenge fencing as he stomped down a section up at the top of the ice pond already.

We need a cowboy, a horse, and a rope. And even then, at his size, he might be quite a handful, rope or not.

Will let you know if he finds a home. . . or if he is staying for the winter. 🙄
