Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar, and spray all the grass and any weeds early in the day on a day it will be sunny. It kills 'em dead, and after the first rain or good watering the soil is fine for re-planting.
A cookie sounds good, I may need to scrounge my cupboards to see if I have all the ingredients I need to whip up a batch. Not until after Saturday morning though since I'm trying to get all my math done!
