I have a headache.

I've been surfing the net for graphics to change the look here on my page.

Okay, so I was kind of thinking of it before my weblog review, really I was. Honest.

Don't believe me do you?

Sigh.

In any case, I have been saving graphics and then having to go into paint and convert them to JPG format and then save them in my private graphics, and chose some kind of buttons that will work properly and get them uploaded and my eyes are starting to cross.

Now, let me say this first off. I have done 20 Weblog Reviews now so have seen a few other diary interfaces and I think DD has one of the best as far as user friendly for the reader. Easy to navigate, lots of the proper features and a cheerful webmaster.

BUT

When it comes time to change the look of your diary.... well, it's a nightmare.

But I have some free time on my hands for the next 36 hours as Hub Man is ferrying a vehicle again and is out of town. So I guess I will occupy myself by revamping my diary.

Wish me luck. I am going into the DD customizing labyrinth . If you happen to visit and my diary looks odd. Just quietly click the back button and come back in a few hours okay? I'm moving furniture, cleaning house, hanging new curtains, etc.

That was the only good part about deciding to get a new diary. I could tweak to my heart's content while it was still private and nobody could see but me.

And for the record, I knew you were going to change your colors because you'd mentioned it in my diary before. You can use me as a witness if you need a witness! ;o)

In the meantime, have a cup of tea when you get irritated at the whole thing. That should help.

Ah, yes, the changing of the design. Not a fun thing that's why I had AnneOakley do mine!! Labyrinth has links to the graphics site she uses on her diary, if that might help you.

Good luck! I know that when I change mine I have to have almost at least a whole day free. :) But I'm sure it will look wonderful... any idea what kind of a theme you wanna do?

good luck, mine is in desperate need of updating, the one there at the moment itself was a half-hearted attempt at a new look back in February. I just cannot face going into that dungeon behind the scenes at DD...

ah no more red roses mon amie but they look like they are falling from heaven i know that is not much of an objectve criteria however.......oops i used punctuation oh well too late hee hee

Good luck with redecorating your *room,* I know how challenging it can be. I won't even attempt to change mine from home with the faulty Purple Box and the snail's pace 44K connection speed I generally run here. Oh, here's a clue to make it a bit faster, open a second browser and go to your last entry. When you change something in the first browser window, you can click over to the second one and click refresh and see it instantly. I find that a very helpful thing to do. It saves about 50% of the page loads you would have to do to click back and forth to check.

It always takes me a few hours to play dress up on my diary. But I usually end up shutting it down to private for a day, because I work on it here and there.

I get the urge every so often, depending on my mood. Plus I just get sick of the same thing! I have loads of graphics on my computer, when I see something I like I save it. Makes it easier I guess when I get the urge to design, I dont have to go on the hunt for things.

Cant wait to see what you do, Have fun!
