The weather has moderated somewhat and we aren't having blast furnace temperatures for the moment.
The garden plants that are able, are responding to the changes and trying to do their job with what time is left to them.
I took advantage of the cloudy morning to transplant the kale.
I'm putting them here in the corner, because I'm not at all sure where all the raised beds are going to be situated when we get them, so I want the kale in a place where it won't be disturbed.
The two little pumpkin plants are blooming.
It just breaks your heart really.
But you never know, the killing frosts may be long in coming, and they will have a chance to put on a pumpkin or two.
(Your optimism sorta makes me throw up in my mouth a little.)
And your stubborn propensity for seeing the negative in everything makes me want to hurl.
So it's gag reflex all around.
I want a tiny pumpkin! Will there be tiny pumpkins?
(So, you are bringing out the BIG guns now, eh Cupcake? Little Miss 'I love the world and everything in it' Sunshine. Bad form!)
You drove me to it.
Goodness and Light will win in the end you know.
I've read the ending of the story.
(Oh God....)
Exactly.
