Chaos Still Reigns
Thu Aug 02 2007

I'm counting the hours till I can start filling up the pantry. First I'm gonna need the actual shelves....

Tick tock, tick tock...

In the meantime, I am plotting and planning. Visions of order dance in my head.

The Knitting Guild meeting is tonight. We are having a Trash to Treasure silent auction for everyone's leftover stash yarn. The proceeds will be used to add to our knitting library book fund. We have a traveling library that we can borrow from each month. Right now I have Elizabeth Zimmerman. Wow. What a knitting whiz she was!

Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing what this event is like. It's the first one for me as I joined last September and just missed the previous one.

The dogs are splayed out on the floor here by me. They are tuckered out from running around like crazy over at the school yard. On the way over there, it's a good thing they were on the leash, as just before we got to the gate, there was a flock of quail skittering off into the bushes. Looked like two adults and I promise you at least 10 babies. What a family!
Anyhow, the dogs got a load of that tempting opportunity and were very put out about the leash situation.

Well, off to the scintillating job of cleaning up the kitchen.

What can I tell ya?

It's the Hen's day off.

We all need a day off in AUG. Now I miss my English Setter SAM for quail he would freeze on point for over 30 Min. till I would go kick them out. He did the same with most Kritters and drove me crazy at times but I loved him so.

I love EZ books. Even if you don't knit her writing is just a hoot.

I have Knitting without tears, Knitting Workshop, and Knitter's Almanac. I am in a KAL for the Knitter's Almanac. There are some really good patterns in that book.

I love the Trash to Treasure idea. I am going to suggest it to my Spinners Quild.

    Have a great day,

    Paula
