Count Your Stitches

I've been working on another felted bag that someone ordered. This morning I was working furiously on it and could not wait to get it off the needles! I finally bound it off about an hour ago, and now need to work the I cord handle for it.
I was in such a huff about getting it finished that I got curious how many stitches it took to get to the end. So I sat down with my calculator and figured it out.
6280.
That's a lot of knitting. But nothing compared to things made with fine yarn or lace shawls or other larger projects to be sure.
But still. 6280. Whew!
I have a list as long as my arm of knitting projects I want to get to. Now that I am easing into breaking the pattern reading code, the possibilities have expanded dramatically. It is nice to know that if I DO get stuck on something, I now know people who can help me.
We went to a wedding yesterday and had a wonderful time. We were there for over four hours. There was dancing and good food and friends and neighbors. But today, I know for sure I am a card carrying introvert. I have to plug my batteries in for a re-charge!
I think I am going out into the back yard to soak up some autumn sun while it's shining.

6,280 stitches to get to the end. From where? The beginning or from where you started urging yourself to get finished?
I tried counting stitches in an afghan, one continuous granny square. I know there's a formula for something like that, but I couldn't recall it (still can't), so gave it up as an unneeded piece of information.
Don't you just love these fall days?
Shalom

Holy cow, that is a lot of stitches! I don't think I will even attempt to count the ones in the poncho I am making.
I love fall. Especially here in my new valley. :o)

29,682 in that red shawl I'm knitting. So far. And I'm only hopefully halfway finished with it. I might have to do more after I finish the second ball sometime next year.
I'm gonna go knit more now.
Pictures please.

You have a list of knitting projects? haha... we are kindred listmakers aren't we.
Felted projects are always so deceiving. There's so much knitting and then we shrink it all away!!

What did you do about the RLS? Did it just go away?
Yeah, I do get a little grouchy. And awfully sleep deprived.
