I hit the ground running today, and haven't slowed down until just now. And this is only a brief respite.
I rode with Hub Man to work so that I can pick him up later and we are heading to my parents in the mountains. I just made it to Yoga class at 8 AM. Then I tried to get cash at the ATM but my card was not activated yet at the new bank, so I had to go back an hour later when the bank was open and they fixed it for me. So I got my cash and put gas in the car (gasp! the price went up again) and then ran down the road quite a ways in lunch time traffic to get a mixed dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts for my mom. The closest Krispy Kreme to their house is about 2 and a half hours away. She needs them for a VERY good reason, as her organization wants to do a fund raiser with selling these donuts and she has never even SEEN one and she felt like in the interest of RESEARCH, needed to actually clap eyes on these wonders of the Universe. Never mind that we now have a dozen donuts to consume between the four of us. . . Oh how I SUFFER!
Anyway, now I have to pack and get in the tub. I might just make it in time to make the rendevous with the Hub Man. So I cannot linger, I must away to the closet to chose a few things to bring with me. I am always astonished at how complicated it is to leave home for a few days.
And on top of it all, this will be our first trip up there without our Robbie in the back seat. Sigh. Although he wanted to be with us and didn't like to be left behind, he was never all that fond of the car. But he DID like wandering around free in the woods.
I will have to check and see if the bulbs I planted by his grave are coming up.
Okay, gotta git.
Next installment from the Big Woods, home of Dustbunny3 and his side kick, the Krispy Kreme donut inspector.
