The Krispy Kreme Inspector declared them too sweet for her taste. But figured they would now charge MORE for them as other unsuspecting donut addicts would pay through the nose for them. (This is where I get my mercinary nature)
The grown grandson of the Inspector however (who had never eaten one before) declared that he wanted relatives that lived near a KK store to second day FedEx him three boxes ASAP so he could pass out a box at work and be hero for the day!

And NO we did not open the box until arriving here....

(I want a medal for it too. I was smellling them sitting there in the backseat for 5 hours.

In other news. One thing we noticed this time is that up here, at night, it is DARK outside. I haven't seen a truly dark night for months it seems. At our house there is this unatural pink/orange glow about the neighborhood from the streetlights. I like this dark better. It's substantial, you can sink your teeth into it. And it's pretty spooky.

While we were lounging about in the afternoon, someone noticed that there seemed to be people checking out the Geocache (www.geocaching.com) we hid on the property. I mosied out there to check and see. Sure enough they had, but when they opened it, we found there was an inch of rusty water in the bottom of the can. So after they signed the log book I brought it in and we found a new container and threw out the spoiled things and added a few new ones and I will replace it this morning. I guess 3 feet of snow was a bit much to expect it to weather without mishap.

Okay, off to see what mischief we can get into this morning..

We just got our first Krispy Kreme doughnut franchise in our state last year. The fanfare is finally beginning to quiet down. Since it is on my drive to work, I will occasionally pick them up for my co-workers to enjoy. Unfortunately, I work with mostly women who are always dieting and trying to stay away from bad foods such as doughnuts, so they aren't always happy to see them. I find them to be too sweet also, but I love how light and soft and squishy they are! If I could get them without anything on them, they would be perfect!

I'm drooling like Cujo at the mention of doughnuts. Yes you deserve a medal for resisiting them for so long. Geocaching sounds like a lot of fun.

My brother (see Oscar's Diary) is really into the geocaching. He has dangled it before Hubby and I more than once, but Hubby has not taken the bait yet. Maybe someday!
    Enjoy!

He there...Not that I need one, by any means, but the next time you're up for a dental appt. I would love to just taste one Krispy Kreme. I've heard about them forever but never had the opportunity to try one.
    Thanks, Yetz....Love, ME

    Where's my proof reader!!!
I forgot to mention that if it's inconvenient...forget about the donut. I know what the traffic is like down there. ME again!

Am I the only person on this planet who detests Krispy Kreme Donuts an dfinds them WAY over rated? They are WAY TOO sweet and even a bit greasy tasting to me. If that is the only thing available to eat, they are easier to take if they are eaten warm.

I won't spend my money on them.
