Eternal Knitting of The Smallest Mind
Tue Feb 03 2009

I have been making all kinds of knitted things lately. Smaller projects. I like that.
It suits my mood. Short attention span. That's me right now.

Yesterday I finished an experimental pattern, using two borrowed ones from people on Ravelry. It wasn't much to look at until I felted it.

Then I fell in love with it....

I am not sure what I am going to DO with it, maybe put some dried flowers in it or something. Or just admire it from afar. I don't really care if it doesn't have a purpose. It's purpose is to make me smile.
That's very valuable in itself I figure.

What object is making you smile at your house these days??

A very interesting objet d'art; it needs no other purpose. It is pretty and the more I look at it the more things I see; fabulous colors as well as both visual and physical texture. Nicely done.

As to your final question, at the moment there isn't anything in particular in my house that is making me smile, but the sun came out today and the robins are back and there are snowdrops coming up so I'm smiling in spite of my stuffy nose because I know spring is just around the corner. Does that count? :)

    Very beautiful! Nicely done.

Nothing is making me smile at the moment.
I just finished doing our taxes and I have a headache.
I have to go watch a movie now.

    That is N I C E !! Nice colors.

What's making me smile? Reading your entry.

My apartment is still a trash pile, but at least the poop and peed upon pile has been sent to the dumpster. Today has been a miserable day, so I'm hoping that tomorrow is going to be a good day. They seem to alternate.

    Bless

The thing that makes me smile is the keyring on my car key. It's a bright yellow rubber duck (know you will appreciate that!) that quacks and lights up. It may be a silly thing but when I'm leaving for work in the morning and it's still freezing cold and dark and it is all cheery it makes me feel better!
