Today, I declare, by reason of intuition and sunshine, it is the first day of spring. The breeze is no longer chill. It's not warm either. It's sort of neutral. I'm taking it as a sign. There are OTHER signs too...   This is the big leaf maple in my front yard. Even when big leaf maple leaves are brand new, they are…. well…. big. Anyway, it feels wonderful outdoors today. Though I know some scary weather could still swoop in, should it take a notion. But by golly, I'm putting my winter woolies away. *** I've been to the feed store. And found out I cannot really afford to be buying bedding plants. [It's a good thing I just started flower seeds in a starter kit.] But I did come home with this… I could NOT resist.   You can click on these photos and they will open up bigger so you can really admire these sweet little things…. I am going to deliver something I just finished this afternoon. A friend commissioned a little painting to put in her salon. I hope she likes it. I think I do. I know I am repeating motifs. But I'm giving myself permission to be creatively redundant. I need the comfort of familiar things right now. Too many other things in my life are on the ragged edge.
