It has warmed up here. Enough that I declared it summer reset day for Bruce's corner of the house. I hauled the wood box out to the wood shed and commenced removing all trace of ash, dust, cobweb and bark from the wood burning season. And believe me, there was plenty of all of that.

I'm grateful for a source of heat that does not rely on electricity which can easily go off in a big storm around here. I never worry about being cold with Bruce on the job. Though I must admit... it is a LOT of work to keep him up and running.

It won't be long until I'll be calling my neighbor about this year's wood deliveries. I cut it pretty close this year. I have about three days worth of wood left. I might be wise to get four loads this time and not have to worry a bit. We'll see if I have enough room for that much. Mr. P is constructing a different wood shelter. I don't know how it's going to work when it's all finished. Every year it's an adventure.
