We are hunkered down here today, keeping out of the storm. Wind is howling to 50 miles an hour. There's a little chickadee taking a break from the gale on our front porch. Maybe I should move the bird feeder up onto the porch. I wonder if they would find it there?
Only light rain so far. Poor stuff doesn't have time to fall, the wind whips it away I guess.
Sunny seems a bit off her feed today. Not exactly depressed, but didn't much care for her breakfast either. Fiona misses Frodo because they were best buds. Frodo let Fiona attack his face and he would play with her all the time. Sunny is not so convinced that this cat is safe , as the other cats she has known were much more stand offish and cranky.
So this morning I had a brainstorm. I put a dab of peanut butter on the back of Fiona's neck. Sunny gets to lick it off. And hopefully some bonding will happen.
I call it 'The Peanut Butter Cure For Suspiciousness In Dogs'.
(Sounds like snake oil to me.)
Whatever.
We have had a few power bumps. So if you don't hear from me later in the day, you will know what happened.
Okay, I'm going to go put the birdfeeder under the porch and see what happens.
Just how smart do you suppose those birds are?
We shall see.
