We are hunkered down here today, keeping out of the storm. Wind is howling to 50 miles an hour. There's a little chickadee taking a break from the gale on our front porch. Maybe I should move the bird feeder up onto the porch. I wonder if they would find it there?

Only light rain so far. Poor stuff doesn't have time to fall, the wind whips it away I guess.

Sunny seems a bit off her feed today. Not exactly depressed, but didn't much care for her breakfast either. Fiona misses Frodo because they were best buds. Frodo let Fiona attack his face and he would play with her all the time. Sunny is not so convinced that this cat is safe , as the other cats she has known were much more stand offish and cranky.

So this morning I had a brainstorm. I put a dab of peanut butter on the back of Fiona's neck. Sunny gets to lick it off. And hopefully some bonding will happen.
I call it 'The Peanut Butter Cure For Suspiciousness In Dogs'.

(Sounds like snake oil to me.)

Whatever.

We have had a few power bumps. So if you don't hear from me later in the day, you will know what happened.

Okay, I'm going to go put the birdfeeder under the porch and see what happens.
Just how smart do you suppose those birds are?
We shall see.

Birds are pretty smart. Give them a day or two.

Great idea with the peanut butter! They'll be best buds in no time flat.

Wind and LOTS of rain that is trying to turn to snow right now up here in the mountains. Wish I had the day off!

Very Clever. It is very hard to resist a cat who smells like peanut butter. They should be friends in no time. :)

What's with the heading "Banshee"? Thought you were going to make reference to my cat. Or maybe the sound of the wind howling around the corners of the house.

My windows are getting the full benefit of the wind and rain. On all three sides that face the outdoors.

The peanut butter angle sounds like an inspiration. Hope it works. Since Sunny and Fiona are full-time members of the household, 'twould be nice if they could be friends. But dogs do have good reason to be leery of cats, even little ones.

    Bless

We love Family Jewels, but haven't been able to watch it since cancelling all but the network channels of our cable package. Gene Simmons is hysterical to watch, and I love his kids and their relationship with Gene.

Celeb. Apprent. was actually pretty enjoyable. We've watched a couple seasons of it, and the first episode of this season was more enjoyable than the others due to the dynamic of the egos contending together.

Next week should be entertaining as the teaser implies that Gene Simmons may have said and done something to tick of Trump.
