I have landed on the other side of the country.
You have heard of future shock, electric shock, sticker shock? Well I think I have GPS shock. Some as yet unidentified organ in my body KNOWS that there is something whacky about the longitude and latitude. This organ was just starting to function pretty well in the mid=west, so what do I do but up and waltz onto a plane and chase the sun almost to the point where it dunks itself into the Pacific, and throw the poor thing into a tizzy.
I saw a lot of snow over what I am pretty sure was South Dakota and parts of Idaho. One might begin to doubt the calendar. But I sure didn't when I landed here. I could not believe how warm it was. Off came the jacket right quick I can tell you. Up until then I had been very happy to have it everywhere I went.
Our garden is exploding. I will take some pictures tomorrow. There's even a little bunch of broccoli on one of the plants. And a blossom on one of the tomato plants too. And if I have to take pictures of them all day long, I will get one of the peaches to turn out so I can show you. The tree is loaded with them. Yipeeeee!
The parental units are doing fine, and they are now the proud owners of one of our extra..... tools...
Here it is in its new home:

In all fairness to UPS, even if it did cost a king's ransom to mail it, the thing arrived with nary a scratch. I'll have to let the young man know who packed it that it arrived safely. His store is just down from the coffee shop where my knitting group meets on Tuesdays.
Okay, I need to go do something about this jet... um .... discomboobulation.
