Yesterday was a day that I felt like I was being watched over by heavenly forces. In small ways and larger ones.
As I was driving over the mountain to visit the H & R Block taxes offices, my 'Service Engine Soon" light came on. Now if you knew how attached I am to my Suzie Cube, you would appreciate how freaked out that made me. But I had to get to my appointment, so I put that worry aside and went to the office.
There, I learned that I had money coming back that I wasn't at all sure I would ever see again. I was VERY thankful to my tax person for figuring all that out for me. She's awesome!
While I was sitting quietly while she was inputting information, I got a text from a friend. She told me that she had finally received a letter that I had written to her. It had taken 12 DAYS to make it to her town which is only one state away from me. WHAT? But I was so happy to know she had gotten it. I've been writing really real letters to people for a while now, and I'm rather invested in the whole process and don't want my efforts and good wishes to my friends and family to go to waste!!! Anyway, it added to my happiness about my taxes.
THEN, I drove to the dealership where I get some of my maintenance done on my car. I told them about the engine light. Well, one of the people there grabbed a technician, and he hooked it up to the computer and the codes told him that my gas cap was not seated properly. I hadn't snapped it all the way closed! That was all it was. He cleared the code, they didn't even charge me, and I drove home in such a state of gratitude, that I'm sure Suzie's tires were not even touching the pavement. 😋
Today I am taking a day off, soaking up the relieved atmosphere of having my taxes taken care of for this year. Always a big load off one's mind. But I did take some time to make another one of John Bosley's doodles. I wonder if he KNOWS he has influenced a rather obsessive person to indulge in a series of these things?
I'm having a lot of fun with them. They have a life of their own really. I don't have an actual PLAN when I start. They kind of evolve organically. The only thing I'm in charge of is the choice of inks.
Speaking if which, I ordered some more samples from Goulet Pens. They are on the other side of the country and won't be here for about a week I'd say. But certainly earlier than my letter to C. one state over. 🙄 For that, we can be truly grateful.
