This has been a busy week. I don't know where the time has gone! I had to make two trips in a row to Oregon that took up entire days, having to do with a certain tooth that is deciding whether it wants to live or die.
[It's leaning toward living, but not without a lot of painful tantrums.]
Yesterday I spent a fair amount of time stacking wood and putting away tarps and cleaning up my woodlot. That was a satisfying job. Simple and straightforward. I welcomed the distraction.
Today we have had all kinds of weather. It started out foggy, that burned off to reveal clouds just as the sun was coming up.
I'm having a hard time convincing my camera on the phone that we don't need to expose everything in this dramatic way, but it's CLOSE to how it looked in person.
In the afternoon it got dark and foreboding in the east and it rained for a while.. and at the same time, the sun was shining brightly from the west.
Like I say... all kinds of weather.
I'm trying to catch up to myself after this hectic week. There were a few moments when I literally wanted to find a hollowed-out tree, and crawl in there and hide. Alas, it's hard to hide from your own tooth, ya know? Sigh.
It's almost time to light Shabbat candles. I really am grateful for the day of rest this week!
