Pal is still with us, though under careful supervision.
We don't have a place for him yet except to go to a kennel until the weekend, and I don't want him to go there unless there is no other choice right now.
He's not a bad dog, he has just been a neglected dog.
Dogs need people. They need to interact. We have bred them to be domesticated companions, and when they don't get their people fix, well they just turn into ... problem dogs.
I don't think Pal is beyond hope. He just needs some intensive socialization.
I mean here he is minding is own business.... he's not a really bad dog.... [Ignore the fact that he is tied to the computer desk...]

I heard a rumor that it was supposed to rain here tomorrow.
I checked the weather forecast and no such thing is in the cards. Wonder where the nasty rumor got started? I'd like to kick that person in the shins for getting my hopes up.
Rain.
Sigh.
I've been putting it off all week, but I need to go out for some groceries. And I am toying with the idea of going to the bookstore to treat myself to a new book. . .
Maybe I should get a self-help book for people who think they know something about dogs but really don't, but try to help said dogs even though all they really know is that they love dogs in general and Shelties in particular and want them all to be like a certain exemplary individual named Robbie.
Wonder if it's in stock?
I could read it aloud to Pal... ?
(That is a stretch even for you Cupcake.... I mean really.....)
Well, it isn't any crazier than a forcast of rain in September in this neck of the woods.... I mean this neck of the dried up crispy fields of baked dead grass.....
Sigh.
I need a hug, a dog whisperer miracle, and a good soaking rain.
And I don't think I'm gonna get any of 'em.
