Oh, I just can't help it. I have to share my new find. Even though I secretly want the whole world to come HERE and read MY blog, I have to admit when I have met my superiors. Take a moment or two to check out this site:
Beauty Dish
She writes divinely. I cannot deny it. I have bookmarked her blog and am reading every day now. It's one of the fringe benefits of writing for Weblog Review. Occasionally I run across some really great diarists.
One of the reasons I enjoy her blog so much is she often tells stories of leaving Avon brochures in various and sundry places. I relate to her because I leave little business cards that I printed up with my DearDiary URL in various and sundry places too.
The latest one was tucked into the pages of a yoga book in Costco. I can't remember the pose I chose, but I always feel like a spy when I do it. It's an introvert's method of self-promotion. Covert. Sneaky. Non confrontational. Cheap. And who knows, it could also be completely ineffectual!
But just in case there is someone reading who found one of my cards.... leave me a comment. Although to be sure, if you do, it will only encourage my mildly subversive, sneaky behavior, that could arguably be considered littering.
Well, I am running out of DearDiary Spy cards, so I have to go print up another batch.
Luckily I have that ream of card stock handy. . . gotta go.

Yes, I can picture you picking up a book, looking over your shoulder to see who is coming, wait for the coast to be clear then do the deed. Slap it in and slam it down onto the next location.
