Knitting Give Away Day
Tue Feb 22 2011

Here is the third in a series of five watercolor experiments... I have two more drawings done and ready to paint. They are stacked on my work table taunting me at the moment.

I am trying to learn how these paints work. Two things I have discovered. One is that they dry darker than they look when wet. AND that you can remove color by getting it wet again and blotting with a sponge or using a paint brush. This is good to know.

I should take a class, but I'm not in the mood for it right now.

I want to play.

And play I will.

Here is the latest giveaway item:

[album 65561 purse1.jpg]

A small purse. Quite plain. But the colors are nice in person. And in the spirit of full disclosure, the strap is a thin dog leash okay? I got lazy and didn't knit a strap for this one. If you don't like the leash, it is easily removed and you could put something that inspires you more than dog accessories. It sort of works for me because I think I may have more than one or two dog genes myself.

(Oh the glorious opening for sarcasm you have just created... it takes my breath away...)

Can it ( ), I'm not in the mood for you today.

Leave a comment to enter the drawing on Thursday morning!

RYC: Even Holmes couldn't find anything to complain about on one of Ray's jobs. I swear that they were twins seperated at birth except that H says "eh" and R drawls "light bub" *laffs*

I'd love to have my name in on this one! Love the leash.

BTW, I have done my first felting project. I call them bootie slippers. A big floppy 14inch slipper felted down to ladies size 7/8. They are wonderful, soft and cosy. I have the second pair knit and ready to throw in the washer tomorrow. It's a very exciting process to see the transformation. I'll have to post them on my diary.

Your paintings are the essence of innocence.

Since I have three, count 'em, THREE puppies in my house right now, and I clean a small mountain of puppy poopies every day, I think I have earned the leash-handled purse! Put my name in the hat, please!

Oh, and I agree, your paintings are indeed the essence of innocence. I still think they would be wonderful in a nursery.
