Totally Trippy Tuesday

I know, it’s kinda pathetic, but it’s a start....

My canning progress:

100% organically grown backyard tomatoes. I knew them from when they was pups... I mean seeds.

Last night I painted a little rooster.

Now in the spirit of full disclosure, I copied the outline of him from a picture in a magazine of garden art.

I’m still working on my drawing skills.

They are coming along, but this one was so perfect for my purposes, I decided to copy.

When I painted him, I had no idea what his destiny would be. But this morning he is on his way north in an envelope. A postcard to some new friends.

I’m glad I have a picture, because I miss him already.

Those 3 jars are already more than some people will ever do in their whole lifetime. Be proud.

Mr. Rooster looks great with the blue mat!

I'm canning my green beans as they come on. My first picking got me 6 pints. I have decided I much prefer these little canning projects. They are actually fun. The same cannot be said of canning 30 pounds in two days like I did last year.

You should paint a rooster to keep........ for Little Red Hen of course. Maybe if she had a handsome rooster to moon over she'd let up on the chores a bit. lol
