Write On!
Mon Jul 05 2004

The spammers are still at it. I got one today with the subject line: "Are you still planning to come over today?" sent by Sylvester Dooley. I kid you not.
No Sly, I'm not coming over to your place in Uzbekistan or wherever you REALLY are. And honest, let's pick a better name than that. (With apologies to any Dooleys out there)

And besides, what is Cialis anyway, and why do I want it? These people have GOT to get a life !

* * * *

The tyranny of the ADD computer screen has exhausted it's powers this morning and I have retreated to the bedroom with the long neglected scribble book in hand. I'm curled up on the unmade bed surrounded by too many pillows, keeping quiet while Hub Man naps in the other room. All that driving has worn him out poor thing.

The wooden window blinds tap gently on the sills in the summer breeze that wafts into the room. I should really close them, as it's warming up outside. Back in a sec.

There. It's done.

It's almost lunchtime and those poached eggs I ate for breakfast seem to be but a memory. My stomach demands another feeding. Little tyrant. I seem surrounded by tyrants today.

These sheets smell of outdoors. Why is that such an intoxicating smell?

It's a funny thing blogging, you know? Half the time we are talking to ourselves and the other half to our readers. I suppose knowing the difference is what confirms or denies our sanity.

Now I'm getting sleepy too. A nap is beginning to sound like a very good thing.

I found an interesting article at "On English" today. (You will find the link in my menu there on the left) It talks about writing as therapy. I think at one time or another, we all have done this here at DD. What do you think?

Writing Therapy

I sure hope that link works. I have been having trouble today bringing pages up. Sometimes I have to try three or four times to get them to open. Perhaps it's because it's a weekend and a holiday here for us in the States and everyone is blogging and surfing away and clogging up the works.

Until next time. . .

Write On! It's good for you. :-)

I often feel as though my diary is my place in the world to converse my thoughts to everyone else. I feel as though I am telling my friends about my day, not necessarily telling myself. Funny thing is so many people say they write for them, but I tend to think that what they write about is more or less to hear what everyone else has to say.

It’s my adult land, suits me better than watching Disney cartoons in the evening hours.

Hope your having a great holiday!

Thanks for the writing therapy article. I'm reading it now. I like to read about the small details of your life. The fact your hubby is napping and you're thinking about one yourself. It makes you more immediate, more real to me, if you understand my meaning. ;-)

Cialis is the latest in the "get it up" drugs.

There's been a lot of housekeeping around DD these days. It seems spring has come a little late for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, and quite early for the Souther Hemisphere types.
