Guano Smokestack?
Wed Mar 24 2004

The Pragmatist just left. We have spent several hours dinking around my house, visiting and eating and going on the computer and sitting in the backyard swing. She left me a loaf of bread and I sent her away with a bag full of Chard and a Bunny Tail plant. It was a fair swap. It was a good visit too.

Hub Man has come home from work early. Not feeling well, poor thing. He is bundled up under the covers right now sleeping. Sounds like his allergies are getting the better of him today. It's no wonder, the quanity of pollen in the air around here is astonishing.

I have been saving up a little list of Spam email subject lines that I have found amusing. I am pretty sure these pond scum creeps are using a random word generator for them. What do you think?

January Comprise
Mollusk Concede
Pushbutton Woodcut
Cliffhang Asteroid
Guano Smokestack

They look pretty random to me ! (I'm NOT making this stuff up!)

Well, I am going to go check on Hub Man, see if he needs anything to make him feel better....

    What I don't get:

Yeah, ok, randomly generating subject lines can get you past some of the spam filters out there. But who in their right mind is going to open something entitled "guano smokestack"?

You know, not that I'm really complaining, but I don't get good spam like that. I just keep getting the usual PayPal and Yahoo emails. Boring! Give me something with a little excitement in it!

Hope Hub Man gets to feeling better soon.

Oh, I hope your hubby is doing okay. Sounds like you had a great day, though. ;-)

Yes, it was a good visit.

I don't think I'll use that bread recipe again. Maybe with the modification you suggested, I might give it a try again.

Hope Hub Man is feeling better. Allergies are pure misery, but better that than the raging flu.

    Guano Smokestack? Crazy!!

I went out to see if any more seeds had sprouted, and there are a couple more. Also, I found a large handful of my asparagus fern stems on the ground there. But no sign of a bird's nest.

I think the fern needs some fertilizing maybe. It's looking a little wan.
