I am done in today.

In a good way.

Yesterday was the art show and potluck for my art class. It was a lot of fun. Good food too. Here are a few pictures:

Done in colored pencil...

This is a watercolor. The assignment was to paint or draw or color this big black cat. Well one lady decided to put the cat in a Halloween cat costume.
Everyone loved it.

This was also a favorite of the group:

Hmmm.... there seems to be a theme here eh? I think one segment of the class who had the 'CAT' assignment.

Here is my art teacher holding my pen and ink drawing. He's a great guy. Very gentle and helpful. Encouragement is his middle name.

And finally, my favorite piece of art in the room that day....

Watercolor morning glories. THIS is what I aspire to in this class. And somewhere in my photos there is a picture of a sunflower that I may dig out and try to work on with watercolor. I don't know one thing about how to do it, but next semester that's what I'll be learning.

Then, in the evening was our Knitting Guild party. I didn't take any pictures of that as I felt I just wanted to BE there. My my, what good cooks we knitters are! There was a table full of wonderful food and little gift bags for everyone and a raffle for 5 baskets that were filled with yarn and other knitting things. It was in a really nice place that we had all to ourselves so it was much more comfortable and relaxed than a restaurant. I'm looking forward to our new guild president's term. It promises to be an interesting year!

But my oh my, I am tired today. I didn't even go to yoga class. I decided I needed to stay home instead. I do plan to take the dogs out for a good run... [somewhere far away from that coyote poop].

We will be headed north tomorrow morning for the wedding. I cannot believe my good fortune. Mamallama will be my sister-in-law. I wish them both very happy. It's time for both of them to have that gift in life.

Amen.

What fun! I love the cat in costume.

I think you are going to love water color. It is a fun medium to work with.

If you remember give the bride a hug from Oregon. I'm thrilled for her. :)

I've sent my good wishes to Mamallama and Hunny. Neat way to make the announcement. :)

Any picture of a kitten is going to get the awwwws! But I like the cougar. Is that Robbie the instructor if holding? I'd like a closer view.

    Bless
