The Wacked Out Late Night News
Thu Oct 28 2004

Today is a wacked out day.

I was up pacing around last night, and to take a break from pacing, I began reading the news on the internet. From the Drudge Report to Fox News to World Net Daily, I ran across an assortment of items that added all together, make for a strange impression. Especially to the sleep deprived.

Here are some of the things I found:

Evidently, if you administer Prozac to very young mice, they grow up depressed.

According to some billboards posted in Florida, President Bush has been blamed for this year's hurricanes because he ignored global warming.

The "Mystery Beast" in Texas, turns out to be a coyote with a bad case of the mange.

An election official says there are people behaving like Brown Shirts at or near certain polling places.

In Austria, they have decided not to erect a statue of Arnold Schwarzenegger because he supports George Bush for President. Whaaaa?

Halloween has been cancelled in many schools because it might be offensive to witches. ???

Rosie O'Donnel held a political meeting to air her views on the election, and only about 40 people showed up.

If the Red Sox win the game tonight, they will have taken the World Series in a 4 game sweep, which in part might be influenced by,

A total eclipse of the moon tonight 8:00 PM (my local time) whereby one could say that the Red Sox win the World Series once every total eclipse of the Moon.

It's a weird world we live in. Very weird indeed.

When I finally got back to bed, depressed mice being chased by mangey coyotes filled my troubled sleep. Good thing Arnold was there to protect me. And just by way of clarity, he wasn't wearing a brown shirt either.

It was puce.

Well atleast your dreams weren't filled with a rabid John Kerry chasing you and trying to bite you during the same time in which Mt. St. Helens was blowing up like Dante's Peak. More wine before bedtime? Next time I think I will pass....LOL

ok, I've heard of Red Shirts (in the Star Trek sense that it is the person wearing the Red Shirt that gets killed on the initial trip down to the surface of whatever planet they are orbiting), but what the heck is a Brown Shirt?

I was up all night too. All out of Klonopin, and I don't sleep without it. I should have checked to see if you were online, and we could have chatted. Take our minds off the weird news on the 'net.

    Shalom

My personal favorite is the cancellation of Halloween in the schools because it might offend witches. Kind of takes PC to a whole new level. lol
