Procrastination is a slimy little monster.

In the words of a certain Hobbit of the Bag End:

"I've been putting this off for far too long."

And the funny thing is, it only took me half an hour to do.

This is the first step to completing my sweater. I have sprayed the pieces with water and have a fan blowing on them. Hopefully by the end of the day they will be dry. I love the texture of them. It's not too radical as to be clumsy and not too slight to be boring. Just right. I'm not putting buttons on it, I bought a metal clasp instead. Maybe I'll learn button holes NEXT time I make a sweater.

It's all cloudy out today. Flat gray sky. And I read on the weather we are supposed to have thunderstorms on Saturday. That will be interesting for the air show. We shall see. Actually having some clouds makes for better sky watching anyway. It gives some context to speed and altitude of the planes. It's all good.

Yesterday I went for a quick exploration of a park not too far from here near the river. I found out there is a great place to walk Sunny that has a huge area full of stones to pick over and bring home and a nice view of great houses across the river. I may take her over there today or tomorrow. I'll take pictures.

Okay, I'm gonna go watch my 'sweater' dry.

You can't call it a sweater really until it is put together... in my book anyway.

(Picky, picky, picky.)

Putting your sweater together, how exciting!

RYC: Yes, cumin is one of the most common spices in Latin cooking. They toast the whole seeds in a dry pan and then grind them before using them in practically every savory dish. I always use cumin in my Latin/Mexican dishes.

Other commonly used herbs and spices are: cilantro, coriander, the seeds of cilantro; episote, a leafy herb; many different chilies which are usually used in combinations so that the flavors are deeper and more complex; along with the herbs and spices common to nearly all cuisines: garlic, onion and salt and pepper.

You had some reservations about making a sweater. I see you did a good job. You will show us when all the pieces become one?

My paper says possibility of thunderstorms. Wonder if they'll fly with lightning all around? That's the problem with having an air show in March. Weather is pretty unstable. I hope they fly.

    Bless
