Good news you have the link back. About the Quail drawing! the Calif Valley quail is not that color. always has a dusty breast and body is dark brown/black.

That's what you get from copying a painting of a quail on the inter tubes... ;-)

I think your paintings are as nice as the ones you are working from. If I had any talent in fine arts I might try some watercolors, but alas, that talent skipped a generation in my family.

The next time you go art supply shopping might I suggest that you get yourself a set of water color PENCILS? They are an amazing medium that allow artists to do things with water color that have never been done before. If you tried them, I'm betting that you will like them. If not, I'll buy them from you so you haven't lost anything and then I'll have to use them, no matter how little talent I have, right?

Thats sure some talent you have there. I have always wanted to paint, but much like my desire to play tennis my body just won't co-operate and front up with the goods! Im sure your small works will be treasured by those receiving them just as much as the other goodies you have given away :)
