We were invaded by the three grandaughters last night.

It was a peaceful takeover.

That is if you have enough french toast, cinnamon rolls, "shaushages" (#3's favorite), strawberries and milk on hand.

We fed the whole lot of them, and then a friend and his kids and father came over and the entire bunch headed off in 3 different cars to the skydiving center. I stayed home. I had shopping to do and didn't feel up to spending the whole day in the "guy zone" with the jump junkies.

After getting groceries, I picked up two movies. National Treasure, and Sideways, which I have been hearing from a lot people are pretty good movies. We shall see.

Toodleoo then.

I'll be back with movie reviews.

National Treasure is a "fun" movie if you overlook all the gaping holes in the plot. Watch it for fun, not for something meaningful or deep!

Sean Bean is in it, which usually makes at least part of any movie he is in (I can forgive him for his lapse in "Scarlett") enjoyable.

National Treasure is a fun way to spend a couple of hours and I always enjoy watching Sean Bean play a villain.

Sideways was OK. I know it got rave reviews but I found it a bit slow and a little pretentious. The plot's there, there characters are sound but the whole thing comes off a little flat *sigh*.

    Shaushages is it?

Nothing like a peaceful Sunday afternoon, eh? Much as I love my granddaughter, it's a sigh of relief when she leaves. I'm just not used to another person in my home. Related or otherwise.

I miss those kinds of takeovers until they happen - then I'm ready for the peace again. Send the french toast my way, thank you!

I thought "Sideways" was wonderful, but National Treasure just had too many stupid errors in the plotline to be worth much (IMHO).
