Unplugged

I intend to have a 'Net Free Day' today.

This requires me to turn off the computer. Clean off. Not dormant. Not on 'just in case'.

OFF.

I spent way too many hours yesterday reading about politics and swine flu. And listening to Pandora radio. And reading on the forums in Ravelry. And, and, and.  OY!

Ooops,  did I say swine flu?  I heard we aren't supposed to call it that now... It's H1N1. Glory be. What silliness.

Anyway, I have net burnout and intend to pull the plug for the nonce.

I may play with yarn. Or cook. Or something constructive.

The Twitter flock is going to have to flit along without me today.

It's a perfect day for it too. It is raining lightly and promises to rain more. [A miracle at this time of year! Sweet!]

I'm stayin' in my nest, doin' what I do best.

Domesticatin'.

Catch ya later.

Great idea! I need to follow suit. But will I? That remains to be seen.

RYC:The Taking. Thanks for the reference. The seminal rain. Some thought it was aliens but it turned out to be the coming of Revelations and the cleansing of the Earth.

Yes, it was a spooky book. Seems that we might have more in commen on the fiction front than I thought.

Have you read Koontz's 'The Watchers'? If you haven't, you should, being a dog lover. Also 'The Darkest Day of the Year'. 'Strangers' wouldn't be a bad one, either.

I could go on and on.

How did Hubman react to 'State of Fear'?
