What I Saw Last Night
Thu May 04 2006

I took Sunny out for a much needed and deserved run yesterday as the sun was going down. Because of the over abundance of rain this year, the fields around our place are as lush as I have ever seen them. I was wishing I had a herd of cattle and horses of my own to turn loose on the banquet. But alas, no such personal bounty exists. Our usually adventurous Sunny found the waist high grass too daunting, and kept to the dirt road mostly. She didn't want to dive off into places she couldn't see her way out of. If you can, imagine the grass in this photo moving like a sea, because there was a healthy breeze blowing when it was taken.

Is that a vernal pool there in the middle left of the photo?

Yes, I can imagine the grass moving as if gentle swells in the ocean. I've seen scenes like this in various places. And wheat fields. Makes the eyes and heart happy.

Ohhh, it's beautiful! It looks like one of those Old World landscapes.

    Hugs,

PS A Victorian Madame?! My goodness, I do believe you're right! No wonder she looks like she holds secrets. There's no telling who she knew, and she's just going to let us wonder, isn't she?

There is a hay field on the next hill over from us that moves like that in early summer before they cut and bale; it is beautiful.

    What a great photo.
We went to Marin Co. two weeks ago and the rolling hills were a beautiful kelly and apple green looking just like velvet. Thank you God for all the nice water.

    Take care and God Bless.....Parett

    Great picture thanks for sharing.

BTW, I'm very far behind in my diary reading. I actually went through and just deleted everything. No excuse just plain lazy.

    take care,
    Cyndi
