Gardener's Reward

It's not it full bloom yet, but I couldn't wait any longer. I was afraid the first blooms would start to fade before the later ones were fully open so....
Here it is:

And here is a closer view. My favorite thing about this plant is that all the flower heads look like bouquets. Just look at all those colors and sizes! They just take my breath away.

Hub Man and I built a little fountain for the back yard. I keep taking pictures of it but they just don't look right. I'll try again this evening when the sun isn't on it. I think it will photograph better that way. Besides there's a finishing touch I haven't added yet. Such a simple thing fountains. But oh my are they good for the soul.

I'm guessing hydraganea (but since I can't even spell it, I could be wrong!) It is so pretty. Love the combo of colours on one bloom.

Beautiful! I've always *loved* hydrangeas. Did you know that they dry well? The darker colors don't show the brownish edges like the lighter colors do, though.

Oh my, that is a pretty hydrangia. I love the way it goes from pink to blue and lavendar. You must live on more alkaline soil. My soil is very acid.... great for blue, but pink ones don't do well at all.

I can't wait to see the fountain. I love fountains. The flowers are just gorgeous. ;-)

I'm so jealous! I was contemplating buying a potted one last weekend just so I could see some flowers. That or some astilbe which I adore too.
