Today I got so much done, I scared myself.
I have NO idea where all my energy came from, but I decided while it was available, I'd go ahead and use it!
I visited the farm again today and worked for three hours. It was lovely weather. Cool and a little overcast at the beginning.
Here's a nice view of the valley that I normally don't get to see...
I live in the best place .... EVER.
On this farm, they have a gaggle of geese who pretty much do whatever they want. I steer clear of them most of the time, but they ARE pretty things...
This one was taking a nap in the middle of the lane, standing up. Very odd.
After we got finished at noon, I came home and started in Spring cleaning the Room of Requirement. I moved furniture and killed spiders and put down a different rug and generally whipped that room into shape.
Then I mixed up 50# of chicken feed with all my special amendments and put it into plastic buckets. I brought up a load of wood and filled the woodbox in the house and cleaned out the ashes from the stove. I haven't built a fire for two whole days and I was thinking that was going to be it for fires this year. No such luck. There's a storm coming. The sky is gray and the wind blew all afternoon. It's funny how much you can get done if the weather people say there may be snow in April. Maybe that's where all the extra energy is coming from. I guess we do funny things when the barometric pressure is dropping like a stone.
There's only one thing wrong with all this amazing productivity....
It's 7:30 in the evening, and I'm ready for bed!
I can't do that until the chickens go to roost. That won't be for at least another half an hour.
Maybe I could lure them into the coop with that stale pancake on the kitchen counter....
I'm going to go give it a try.
:-)
