My rain gauge runneth over!

We are having more rain today.

I went out early this morning for a ride on my bike before it started coming down. I’m glad I was up so early to get that done.

I’m pawing through my yarn stash and patterns today getting ready for our annual knitting retreat. I have a make and take project all ready for everyone. I spent quite some time yesterday folding patterns and bagging balls of yarn for 60 people to knit the little pouch I made a while back.

I packed Dory up with her entire wardrobe and enough yarn to make her a new dress for the occasion.

Hub Man is home this week on vacation. So he is going to hold down the fort while I’m gone. I’m not leaving until Thursday, but I’m so excited, I’m packing now!

Yesterday I bought some fresh figs. I had never eaten them fresh before. They were okay, but I’m thinking about making a fresh fig cake today to use up the rest of them.
I guess I prefer my figs dried.

Yesterday I picked the very last of the tomatoes and used them to make soup. Also cooked up a batch of apple sauce from all the wild apples I picked up in the mountains with a few from our front yard apple tree thrown in.

Watched the newest Jane Eyre movie from Netflix last night. Eh. I like the one with William Hurt WAY better than this one.

After the rain passes, we will be putting up our sukkah. I have several bushes that need pruning anyway, so we will have plenty of greenery for the roof.

If I seem to be jumping from subject to subject, it is merely the reflection of the state of my mind this Monday.

Scattered.

Mildy manic.

Erratic.

(What’s new about that?)

Well, more so than usual.

(I’ll buy that.)

There’s a sucker born every minute. ;-)
