I'm waiting. . .

[album 65561 Pea2.JPG]

For this to turn into a pea pod so I can eat it.

And on a totally unrelated tangent, if you have a shedding dog, you need one of these:

Take No Prisoners Shedding Tool

I got mine at Wal-Mart for five dollars.

It works fabulously well. Best I have ever seen. The only thing about it is Sunny seems to have an unlimited amount of hair she has decided to get rid of this Spring. We have to take her out in the fields to use this thing, as otherwise it fills the back yard with hair, that sometimes flies right over the fence to the neighbor's yards. It's embarrassing.

It has the added benefit of scaring the jujubees out of ticks as I saw one bail off Sunny's elbow while working her over out by the old park near the airport a little while ago. I thought I heard that tick screaming...."Run for your lives!"

But it COULD have been my imagination.

If you can find a zoom groom (just one name for this) http://retailpets.com/zoomgroom1.html they work wonders also. They are like a curry comb for dogs, made from rubber. You rub the dogs down like you would a horse with a curry comb, and it gathers all the hair around the bumps resulting in a honeycombed matt of hair. It's a bit more controllable than the shedder you have if you are looking for something to use in your yard between trips out to the field with the shedder! It is also fantastic for when you give your dog a bath, shampoo's them and gets rid of any shedding hair at the same time.

I, too, am having to practice patience. I keep looking at the dirt to see if any of my bulbs are peeking through yet. Nope. Come on, sleepy heads. Wake up now. :o)

'Pie seems to be dropping POUNDS of hair each day. I don't know why she isn't bald at this point. Maybe I'd be happier if she was!

RYN: Because I'm too stupid to know I can't do it yet. ;o) Truly, it's because I don't have anyone to show me what I'm not doing right, so I just barrel ahead until I realize I really can't do something. Plus I think being able to crochet pretty much anything I want to crochet at the very least makes me feel like I should be able to knit anything I want to knit. That isn't always the case, but somehow in my brain it seems to work (until I make the attempt, that is).

The family dog we had growing up had a wool coat so we never had the molting animal problem.

I'm sure mum spend a small fortune (more like a large fortune I'm sure) paying for groomers to clip his coat every couple of months tho, so your $5 shedding tool is a much better option ;o)
