Boy, it's good to know one still has the chops to do a housework blitz once in a while.
This morning I woke up from a good night's sleep and decided that our mud tracked, dog hair dusted, and cluttered domicile needed shoveled out and cleaned to within an inch of its life.
Whatever wasn't tied down, got thrown in the washing machine. Too bad I can't toss dogs in there too, we would really be squared away if we also had three clean dogs to add to the clean house.
I'm putting my behavior down to a slight case of cabin fever after being cooped up too many days in a row on account of rain.
One thing got accomplished during the rainy days. I made myself a business card holder. My wallet was getting WAY to bulgey with them and I wanted to play around with needle felting, so I knitted up a simple long rectangle with a tapered end and set to.
I am quite happy with the results:

I even found out you can 'sew' pieces together with the felting needle and the side seams only have a stitch or two at the very top corners where the strain is greatest. That was a great thing to know for future projects. I was aiming for colored 'leaves' but they ended up looking like Christmas lights. . . so be it. After all, 'tis the season' eh?
