So today I waited and waited for the fog to go away. At noon I gave up and bundled myself up, gloves and all and went for a bike ride around the hood.
I actually took my camera this time and I’m glad I did, because I ran across a large plant that hangs over someone’s fence blooming away on this chilly foggy day. Evidently this flower isn’t shy.
And I can see why.
It’s rather flamboyant.
To say the least.

I’m fighting the urge to describe it as something from an alien planet. Instead I choose to see it as a praying mantis twirling around in a fantastic skirt.
That do YOU think it looks like?
My fingers are still chilled from the ride and I keep making typing errors. Lucky for you we have spell check and the backspace button.
Yesterday I was a domestic tasmanian devil and ran through this house like Wiley Coyote was after me... beep beep!
And when the dust settled, I mean was shaken out of the place, I got down to the real business at hand.
Bread baking.
Now usually, for everyday use, I bake some kind of whole grain bread. But I got a hankering for some good old fashioned white bread.
Not having a recipe on hand that I was particularly fond of, I went on the King Arthur web site and snagged their ‘Classic White Bread’ recipe and set to.
It was a resounding success if I do say so myself.
Recommend the recipe 100%.

Little Miss Sunshine and I had a big hunk of it with strawberry jam smeared all over it.
We declared it perfect.
And yes, we counted the points. ;-)
