Sunny and I made the trek to the little creek again this week. It's such a nice spot, that I intend to go there often. This time there was a surprise waiting for us.   TigerLilies. Oh my! They weren't out at all last week. The above one is almost at the end of its blooming. This one had just opened up.   Notice how different the …. oh dear… stamens? …. you know, the pollen thingys …. look when they first come out. I actually looked up pistils and stamens and am still a little confused. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna miss that question. It's like a 6th grade science test! All I know is they take my breath away….     While we were crashing around in the underbrush looking at them, I also found these beauties... I do not know what they are. I'm going to have to ask S. She knows everything botanical. I just take the pictures.
